As part of the primary school education experience, educational trips are organized a few times a year. This is usually something within the area and the children travel there by bus or on foot with the aid of teachers and sometimes parents.
Educational trips are usually in tandem with something the children are currently learning at school. If their term focus is revolving around Judaism, they may visit a local synagogue and talk to a Rabbi about some of the practices they have learned. If they are learning about rivers and wildlife, they may v
isit a wood or forest to pick out particular flowers, plants, and examine insects.
As well as enhancing their educational experience, an outing is a good opportunity for the children to practice good behavior. They are required to listen to and follow instructions, keep their volume at a respectable level, walk two by two – sometimes hand in hand for the younger ones – and practice road safety.
Outdoor trips are also exciting for primary school children, as they get to be outside with their friends and classmates, and explore a different environment. Primary school education focuses on many different aspects of learning, not just classroom.
